My king and my God
06:41
|
|||
MY KING AND MY GOD
You are my king and my God
You are my shepherd and my guide
You are my strength, my help, and refuge
You are the Lord at my side.
You are my king and my God
You, I will hold in reverent fear
You hold the key to the gates of glory
You, to my heart, will appear.
You’re always there
Always there with me
To show me the way
To shower me with grace
You are the light that shines
You bring a smile to my face
You are my king and my God
You are the saviour of my soul
You take me life and you turn it around
You make the broken pieces whole
You are my king and my God
You’ve done and still do so much
You are my Lord and you always will be
You’ve blessed my life with your touch.
You’re always there….
You are the theme of my song
You’re voice like a river, flows with the water of life
And like the trumpet, shouts with the battle cry
You’re always there..
You are my king and my God
You are my shepherd and my guide
You are my strength, my help, and refuge
You are the Lord at my side.

Gethsemane (Chi Mai)
05:08
|
|||
GETHSEMANE
Gethsemane,
In an olive grove, called Gethsemane
There, my Lord, he prayed in sorrow
If it be, if it be
Possible
Take this cup from me
Father, take this cup from me
Father, yet not as I will
Father, but as you will
Take this bread
Representing the broken body
The wounds that saved you
The wounds which healed you
The wounds he bore so willingly
Gethsemane…..
Take this cup
Representing the offering
The blood that washed you
The blood that cleansed you
The blood he gave so willingly
Gethsemane…..
Father, (x6)
I am ready

That we might know you
03:43
|
|||
THAT WE MIGHT KNOW YOU
That we might know you, and make you known
That we might show you, by the love we’ve shown
We will enthrone you, make our hearts your throne
That we might know you and make you known
Looking to heaven he revealed this prayer
To his Father, our God, who is dwelling there
That the Son might glorify you
Forever and ever, this remains so true
That we…..
Jesus spoke with authority granted
In his disciples, The Word was planted
To eternal life, he could be the open door
And give us a reason to be living for.
He went on, in this prayer, he prayed
Though much to fear, they’d be unafraid
In this world though they’re not of it, he cried
With fullness of blessing, they’d be satisfied.
That we….
Jesus prayed that he might be glorified
Through his disciples, truly unified
Just as the Father, Son, and Spirit are one
And in this way, we’ll glorify the Son
We, his people, and this is our mission
To all who would call themselves, “disciple” or “Christian”
Preaching and revealing his word to all
And having conviction, we obey his call
That we…. (x2)
That we might know you and make you known (x4)

The Rose
03:23
|
|||
The Rose
Some say love, it is a river
That drowns the tender reed.
Some say love, it is a razor
That leaves your soul to bleed.
Some say love, it is a hunger,
An endless aching need.
I say love, it is a flower,
And you its only seed.
It's the heart afraid of breaking
That never learns to dance.
It's the dream afraid of waking
That never takes the chance.
It's the one who won't be taken,
Who cannot seem to give,
And the soul afraid of dyin'
That never learns to live.
When the night has been too lonely
And the road has been too long,
And you think that love is only
For the lucky and the strong,
Just remember in the winter
Far beneath the bitter snows
Lies the seed that with the sun's love
In the spring becomes the rose.

Past, Present and Future
06:40
|
|||
PAST, PRESENT AND FUTURE
In days now gone I remember when
I used to run o’er hill and glen
Dwelling there I’d dream awhile
Of the future ahead it would make me smile
I could escape had no worried thoughts
The future full of shoulds and oughts
Then back again to reality
But at least I knew that I was free
CHORUS:
How ever much we look to the future
Or look at the present or past
We know one thing, that our lives will grow and change
But when we look beyond ourselves to Jesus
When our hearts and minds, on him, we cast
We recognise that he has remained
And will always remain the same.
In days now here so much has changed
My life’s become so rearranged
More focussed now on what’s right and wrong
Is the dream on hold? Is the dream now gone?
BRIDGE
I’ve heard it said hope springs eternal
Inside my mind set on the internal
The workings of a seeking heart
And I know that He must play His part
In days to come I will seek His face
I will partake in His amazing grace
He’ll come to me and accept my prayer
I will go to be with Him up there
And so till then I will learn and grow
I’ll reach the end there I will know
I’ll put away the present and past
For the days to come won’t be my last
CHORUS:
And so till then……

Didn't have to do it
03:41
|
|||
DIDN’T HAVE TO DO IT
Tell you of a sister
So faithful in her deeds
Nothing was too much trouble
She’d be there to meet the needs
She would give up time and place
To see what she could do
Took the burden on herself
To see the matter through
She didn’t have to do it
But she did it anyway
There was nothing to it
There was no price to pay
Tell you of a brother
Who, like Barnabas of old
Such a great encouragement
His love just broke the mould
He was always there to lend a helping hand
No matter the situation
He’d be the first to stand
He didn’t have to do it….
They didn’t have to do it….
There are people everywhere
With such a heart to give
They’re the ones who really
Show us how to live
By their great example
They’re like jewels on the shore
Precious, yet so rare, they give
And then they give some more
Tell you of a Father
Of his gentle, loving care
A love so insurmountable
That nothing can compare
Both the sister and the brother
Motivated by desire
To please him and to imitate
And take his message higher
They’re the ones the extra mile
Is no further than a smile (worthwhile)
Tender is their loving care
Touching is the love they share
Repeat ending.

JESUS IS THE ONLY FOUNDATION
The foundation has already been laid
Jesus has done it, the price has been paid
On the cross, he was crucified, there, for my sin
Grace has been offered through him.
One church, one Lord
One faith, one salvation
One word, one truth
Jesus is the only foundation
Jesus, he is the chief cornerstone
We are his people, we are his own
We’re the sheep of his flock, we’re the children of God
We’re washed and we’re cleansed by his blood
One church, one Lord…..
We are disciples, taking Christ at his word
Putting into practice the command we have heard
The thirsty to quench and the hungry to feed
Striving to meet every need
One church, one Lord..…
Love is our motive, compelling us to give
Service and devotion, in the way we live
Jesus is our captain, commander and king
And to his glory we sing
One church, one Lord….. (x2)

Hold on
03:05
|
|||
Hold On
Fell through my hands again, yeah I’m sick of it
I played my part, this round as the hypocrite
Yeah I’m full of this life, we live, ain’t deliverin’
We sin, give in, our conscience is witherin’
So we, hold on, it’s just a little bit further
Till we reach the point where we can finally see
That there’s somethin’ up ahead
But instead
Downhill, new thrill, and I’m still getting’ low
Wrong turn, I’ve learned this lifestyle has gotta go
Look back, off track, old promises call me
But I need to deal with this insecurity.
So I, hold on, it’s just a little bit further
Till we reach the point where we can finally see
That there’s nothin’ up ahead
But instead
Whoa (x8)
Hold on, it’s just a little bit further
Till we reach the point where we can finally see
That there’s nothin’ up ahead
But instead
On me, I see I’ll skip this monotony
Think twice, small price, give up my autonomy
Same deal, new wheels just lacking the will to see
This time, rewind, take back what its costin’me
And we hold on, it’s just a little bit further
Till we reach the point where everythin’ we want
Is already up ahead
Instead
Hold on, who could’ve dreamed of this comin’
I’ve finally found, reachin’ solid ground
A better way ahead
Like he said

Came to his senses
04:00
|
|||
CAME TO HIS SENSES
I feel so ashamed
And I know I have only myself to blame
Could have stayed, but I made
Such wrong decisions
I said to my father I can’t wait
Now give me my share of your estate
Went away and now I find myself in this position
CHORUS
Going home, coming to my senses
All alone, have no more defences
Here on my own, I can see
This is not the kind of life for me
Squandered it all, living wild
Like a stubborn and independent child
Now I’m here feeling so hungry and alone
I had friends, when I started
But a fool and his money are soon, soon parted
For my friends soon deserted me,
Leaving me to reap what I had sown
CHORUS
BRIDGE 1
All I have left, when all is said and done
I must say to my father
I’m no longer worthy to be called your son
But when I saw him there, waiting for me
Robed with his blessings
I felt so free
Being home is the only place to be
BRIDGE 2
Put sandals on his feet
And the best robe bring
Put upon his finger
The finest ring
Kill the fattened calf
Let’s dance and sing
Of his returning home
This son of mine was lost
But now he is found
He went away, was led astray
Now safe and sound
Came to his senses
And homeward bound
He found his way back home
ENDING
Let us celebrate and bring
Music, laughter, dancing and singing
Let’s have feast and let’s start rejoicing
Now that my son’s come home (x2)

Give thanks to the Lord
02:42
|
|||
GIVE THANKS TO THE LORD
Give thanks to the Lord, call on his name
Make known among the nations, what he has done
Sing to him, sing praise to him
Tell of all his wonderful (x2)
Tell of all his wonderful acts
Glory in his holy name
Let the hearts of those who seek the Lord, rejoice
Look to the Lord, and his strength
Seek his face always
Remember the wonders
Remember the wonders, he has done
His miracles and the judgments he pronounced.
O descendants of Israel, his servant
O Sons of Jacob, his chosen ones (x2)
(repeat from start to finish)

I belong to the Lord
04:54
|
|||
I BELONG TO THE LORD
Have a Saviour that I can know
For He freed me and let me go
From the prison of sin and shame
When I cried out, He came
CHORUS:
I belong to the Lord, our God (x4)
Like a sheep I had gone astray
But He found me and led the way
To a home on a safer shore
I could want for no more
CHORUS
I was blind and I prayed for sight
Was in darkness and needed light
Touched my soul and my heart was free
And my eyes can now see
CHORUS:
Hallelujahs I sing out loud
For has passed all that guilty cloud
Praises to Him who made me new
Lord, all glory to you
CHORUS:
BRIDGE: I believe in the Lord Jehovah
And one day I am crossing over
Canaan’s Land will my thoughts enfold
As I walk on those streets of gold
CHORUS: (x2)
|

12. |
Rejoice in the Lord
05:02
|
|||
REJOICE IN THE LORD
Rejoice in the Lord, for now and for always
I’ll say it again, rejoice in the Lord
Let your gentleness be evident
If anything is excellent or praiseworthy
Think about such things (x2)
Do not be anxious about anything
But in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving
Present your requests to God
And the peace of God which transcends all understanding
Will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus (x2)
Rejoice in the Lord…..
Set your hearts on heavenly things above
Where Christ, is seated at the right hand of God
Set your minds on these
Not on earthly things
For when Christ who is your life, appears, you’ll share with him in his glory
When Christ appears you’ll share in his glory.
Whatever is true, whatever is noble
Whatever is pure, lovely and right (x2)
Whatever is admirable
If anything is excellent or praiseworthy
Think about such things
Think about such things
Rejoice in the Lord…..
Think about the blessings
Think about the promises
Think about the grace of God
Think about his glory
Think about his mighty power
Think about his strength and love
Think about his kindness
Think about his gentleness
Think about his ways of peace
Think about his mercy
Think about the life he gives
Think about such things as these
Think about the blessings…….
Think about such things as these (x4)

By Prophets Foretold
02:39
|
|||
BY PROPHETS FORETOLD
Messiah’s coming by prophet’s foretold
From time’s beginning through times of old
To when the angels said “behold
The lamb of God, the Christ”.
The seed that bruised the serpent’s head
To the birth in a lowly cattle shed
Much has been written, and much has led
To the coming of the Christ
The offer of Isaac on Mount Moriah (Tenor, Alto, Bass sing Ah ….)
He carried the wood and carried the fire (Tenor, Alto, Bass cont. sing Ah ….)
This pointed the way to the Messiah (Tenor, Alto, Bass cont. sing Ah ….)
An illustration of the Christ (All sing words)
Melchizedek, high priest and king
Whom Abraham made an offering
And through him and to all his offspring
They pointed to the Christ
Moses’ spoke of The Prophet to come (Tenor, Alto, Bass sing Ah ….)
And to David, God promised a king, a son (Tenor, Alto, Bass cont. sing Ah ….)
Who would reign forever as the one (Tenor, Alto, Bass cont. sing Ah ….)
True Lord, Messiah, Christ (All sing words)
So many, too many but to name
Have spoken of the Christ who came
Let’s not forget whom we proclaim
The Lamb of God, The Christ
